ISRAEL HOUGHTON, CROWDER, DARLENE ZSCHECH AND PLANETSHAKERS AMONG RENOWNED ARTISTS HIGHLIGHTING 2015 NATIONAL WORSHIP LEADER CONFERENCES
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif.—The National Worship Leader Conference (NWLC), the premier three-day training event designed to equip worship leaders and their teams, has announced a slate of renowned speakers and top artists for its four popular conferences around the country this year.
Bill & Gloria Gaither with David Neff; Dr. Leonard Sweet; Darlene Zschech; Dr. Marva Dawn; Dr. Scotty Smith; Dr. Reggie Kidd; Buddy Owens; Dr. Ron Allen; Pete Briscoe; Dr. Amos Yong; Steve Berger; and Mike Harland are among the keynote speakers and workshop presenters, while Israel Houghton; Crowder; Anthony Evans; Meredith Andrews; Planetshakers; The Brilliance; Zealand (featuring Phil Joel); and Charles Billingsley, along with many others, will lead worship at various conferences this year.
Showcasing the theme “Great Is The Lord!”, each NWLC offers three general sessions, over 70 workshops, and three nights of worship. Kicking-off at Washington, D.C.’s Centreville Baptist Church (May 19-21), 2015 conferences will also be held at Kansas City’s Church of the Resurrection (June 23-25); Cathedral of Faith in San Jose, California (July 28-30); and Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Dallas (September 30-October 2).
“Worship Leader has a longstanding mission of encouraging New Song in every media, style, and tradition,” says Dr. Chuck Fromm, publisher and founder, Worship Leader magazine, Song Discovery and the National Worship Leader Conference. “This year we are focusing on Psalm 96 where we are invited to sing a New Song and to sing it among the nations for one reason: Great is the Lord! Join us as we gather to exhort one another to lead in biblical faithfulness, equip ourselves with the tools needed to lead our congregations, and take the opportunity, as a community of pastoral musicians, to exalt His name—declaring with one voice that indeed, Great is the Lord!”
“John Wesley created a worship revolution in the 18th century. It’s in our genes to be worship revolutionaries, and I know of no better place to be inspired and informed than the worship conferences put on by Worship Leader magazine,” says Dr. Leonard Sweet, best-selling author, pastor and popular speaker. “This conference hits on all cylinders, theoretical, theological, practical, skill-based. It offers a range of ideas, and musical expressions that are culturally diverse, and congregationally friendly. Those who attend go home revived, refreshed and with renewed vision for worship and love for God and people.”
Each NWLC offers face-to-face mentorship, customizable education opportunities, exposure to cutting-edge technology, and networking in the worship leader community. The convention also gathers the world’s most innovative worship companies for its exhibitor hall, bringing the best in church resources, music and gear, showcasing the latest trends and technologies in worship.
Additionally, conference attendees are encouraged to register for a Pre-Conference event held the evening prior to each NWLC conference. Exploring “The Art of Building Healthy Teams,” this year’s Pre-Conference covers such topics as “Building Your Worship Ministry Teams”; “Building Community”; “Dealing with Conflict”; and “Creating a Worship Culture.”
The National Worship Leader Conference (NWLC) is presented by Worship Leader magazine, one of the most respected and highly regarded resources for worship leaders, pastors, and worship teams. Founded in 2007, the conference is designed to meet the musical, theological, and media training needs of those who bring the services of worship to their congregations on a weekly basis.
